Looking Back

First of all, I hope everyone had a great Christmas. I don't know about you but I certainly indulged myself and spent some quality time with my family. It's amazing how quickly it goes though, isn't it? We seem to spend ages building up to the main event, buying enough food and drink to keep a small country going for a year and in a flash it's over.

This got me thinking, looking back at the last year and have I done what I wanted to do. 2019 has certainly been a good year, my studio has had it's best year to date and I've been privileged to work with some great singer-songwriters and session musicians. It's also been great to see new and emerging artists who I've worked with releasing their material. Aside from the studio, starting this blog and website has been a particular highlight. It's something I'd been thinking about for a while and I'm so pleased to have done it and that it's hopefully helping people.

I've got a lot planned for 2020 including launching the accompanying Podcast which will be a weekly event. Apart from dealing with the everyday problems and stresses that musicians have to deal with, I'm in the process of sorting out some interviews where I'll be speaking to artists who have overcome problems and how they did it. So hopefully there'll be some great content we can all learn from.

Lastly, I think the other important thing to take away when looking back at our last 12 months is not to dwell on the things that went wrong. I wrote a blog about this recently which you can read here. Look forward to achieving our goals next year and let's make it a very successful one. If there was one thing you could achieve next year what would it be? Please comment below.

Wishing you and your families a very Happy New Year.
